PLOT!! *fanfare*

That’s right readers, Clare has the beginnings of a plot running about inside her brain space. This is epic news indeed.

It’s official

Alrighty dear readers. It is now official. Clare, lady of knowledge, most splendiforous one and author of this blog post has actually signed up as an official entrant for NaNoWriMo this year. If you would like proof please follow this link. As developments develop, I will post both here and on the NaNoWriMo website so that everyone can get a big ego boost knowing that they are further into their 50,000 word deadline than I am, which is most likely going to be the case because I am still trying to figure out what on earth is going to happen to my hapless protagonist.

That’s all from me sweetlings, happy Friday 🙂

The time has come for me to gird my loins, strap on the good ole thinking cap and try to get some sort of basic plot-line down for my NaNoWriMo novel which I am going to have to write in a little over 2 months time and I have as yet absolutely no idea what my daring tale is going to be about.

I don't have writer's block... I umm... well... I'll get back to you.....

This is for everyone’s information, going to be my first attempt at writing a novel and while I often entertain myself by writing short stories and some pretty prose, I have never had the inkling to sit down and figure out a plot line. I have always wanted to write, since as long as I can remember I have dreamt of being the next Tolkien and having even one hugely successful novel. Short stories I’ve done plenty and protagonists exist in my imagination enough to fill more stories than I could ever hope to put into words. All this aside I still am unable (or unwilling) to nut out a plot line.

So far my fellow members of the fellowship and I have decided to somehow link our stories together by having our characters meet at intervals throughout the story. In a very sponge like manner I can’t help conspiring to wait untill they have decided when their character needs to meet mine before writing my story around theirs. Sense (if I had any) would have suggested against publishing this heinous plan on the interweb on our joint blog because now they will by privy to my plans and thwart them at every turn. Curses.

So dear readers, that is an update on my novel dilemmas, if you have any gems that I could possibly use I will write you into my novel if I ever get past the opening scene. I may even give you credit in the foreword.

Happy blog surfing to all and to all a goodnight.

Hello internet browser/crazed fan,

This is a post to say that phase one of the NaNoWriMo preparations is complete; ie, we have created us a wordpress blog.

Please be sure to check out our individual blogs, as they’ll probably be updated more often than this one. 😛
